The Cincinnati Reds had a hot finish to the 1st half of the season, but went cold to start the second half. The cold start hurt the Reds and hurt the chance of being close to 1st place.

WHAT’S ON THE PLATE FOR AUGUST

The Reds conclude their 4 game series against the Miami Marlins before opening up the Battle Of Ohio series with Cleveland first hosting. Following the Cleveland return to Cincinnati, the Reds conclude the homestand with the Miami Marlins and defending World Champion Boston Red Sox. The Reds go on a 6 game roadtrip to Colorado and St. Louis before returning home for a 7 game homestand against Atlanta and the Chicago Cubs. The last series of August will be in Pittsburgh. Reds will play up to 29 games this month.
