Game 8 (Cincinnati Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals)

TEAM THUMB

Opening Day from last year was complete destruction for the St. Louis Cardinals bullpen, that unfortunate mistake did not happen again for the St. Louis Cardinals. The Opening Day was all St. Louis from the Bottom of the 1st, Tony Cingrani lost the “Battle of 52s” and it wasn’t even close. Tony Cingrani allowed bases loaded 1st inning and allowed 3 runs, and that is all the Cardinals needed to do against the Reds. The Reds attempted a 9th inning rally, but it did not match the 9-run 9th from last year.

GAME 5

PREDICTION:

HOMER BAILEY: 7 IP/6 H/3 R/2 BB/5 SO/HR

LANCE LYNN: 7.1 IP/6 H/2 R/2 BB/7 SO/HR

PICK: Homer Bailey has made it some of a bad trademark playing in St. Louis, he did win his last appearance there thanks to offense blow out on Adam Wainwright. Lance Lynn is the typical one-sided pitcher and likes to pitch at Busch Stadium. This is a mismatch in the making and the Cardinals should win this game.
