World Series Game 5 (St. Louis v Boston)

RedSox-Cardinals

First game I’ve been able to watch from start to finish since Sunday. As I’ve watched, the Cardinals have found lucky situations to win Games 2 and 3. St. Louis did started the scoring first, as for MLB.com’s Jennifer Langosch, she might want to fix that tweet about scoring first.

I know Jennifer Langosch is the one to represent the St. Louis Cardinals as the MLB beat writer for them, just thought that could be a jinx. As for the Cardinals scoring, here are all the scoring plays:

3RD INNING:

  • Carlos Beltrán singled to right center, Matt Carpenter scored from second.
  • CARDINALS 1-0

5TH INNING

  • Stephen Drew hit a sacrifice fly to left, David Ortiz scored from third.
  • TIED 1-1

6TH INNING

  • Jonny Gomes hits a 387 ft home run to left field, Dustin Pedroia and David Ortiz scored from second and first.
  • RED SOX 4-1

7TH INNING

  • Matt Carpenter singled to right field, Shane Robinson scored from second.
  • RED SOX 4-2

Composite Score for World Series, Red Sox 18, Cardinals 12

On to recap Game 4 Pitchers.

Clay Buchholz

As for an ailing Clay Buchholz, getting outs and little scoring was important for him. Buchholz pitched to no-decision, but his bullpen and Jonny Gomes helped the team lead to victory.
