Let’s try Game 86, again. Today, the Reds welcome the Seattle Mariners to Great American Ballpark for the first time in its ballpark history, but the two pitchers today know well about what Great American Ballpark can do for being known as a hitters park.
Today’s pitcher’s, Aaron Harang and Mike Leake. Harang has known this ballpark for over 8 years and what it entails, especially when he was a Cincinnati Red from 2003-10. Harang, also will make his first start back in Cincinnati, he did beat the Reds as an LA Dodger on Independence Day 2012. Mike Leake, who was suppose to pitch yesterday, will take the mound today against the Mariners for the first time, but has faced some familiar faces in the lineup (Jason Bay, Raul Ibañez, Henry Blanco, Brendan Ryan and Aaron Harang).
Aaron Harang: 5 2/3 IP, 7 H, 2 2B, HR, R, 3 BB & 4 SO
Mike Leake: 7 IP, 4 H, 2B, HR, 2 R, 3 BB & 5 SO
