Game 86 (Cincinnati v San Francisco)

It must be nice to know that the Reds can finally beat the Giants in 3 games, which they should have done in the NLDS, but nothing can be done about that and worry what is happening right now. For the things that are happening right now, the Pirates continue to dominate the Central and beat the Phillies this week, while the Cardinals even their series against the Angels last night.

Today’s matinee features Matt Cain and Mike Leake, this is  a rematch from June 29, 2012, that was a good game for Reds Country. Long story short, Cain got rocked with 5 ER and Leake only allowed an ER and had a CG, in San Francisco by the way. Cain, may have beaten the Reds in Game 5 of the 2012 NLDS, but has not beaten the Reds since August 23, 2010 and has gone 2-2 in his last 5 regular season starts against the Reds. Leake, has gone 3-0 in his last 5 starts against the Giants.

Matt Cain: 5 2/3 IP, 8 H, 2 2B, HR, 3 R, 3 BB & 4 SO

Mike Leake: 6 1/3 IP, 8 H, 3 2B, 2 HR, 3 R, BB & 6 SO
