Game 23 (Washington v Cincinnati)

Another of night of baseball, and it starts on the road. Tonight, the Reds will be playing the Washington Nationals, the first of 4 in a 11 day-10 game road trip. The only thing the Reds should be focused on this week is to make and break and get the tie-break. The Reds own a 2-1 advantage over the Nats and with this being the last series of the season between the two, they got to win two. It is a best of 7 and having 4 wins can help break some ties come October. (Reds were 1 game back in 2012, but the Nationals owned the Tie-breaker of 5-2). Tonight’s pitching matchups comes from two pitchers who dueled in the American League and National League, Gio González and Bronson Arroyo. Here are the stat line predictions for the two.

Gio González: 6 IP, 6 hits, 4 doubles, 2 runs, 2 walks, 9 strikeouts and a sac fly

Bronson Arroyo: 5 2/3 IP, 9 hits, 2 doubles, 3 runs, walk, 3 strikeouts and a hit by pitch.
