Game 7 Recap (St Louis v Cincinnati)

Committed errors by Choo cost the Reds a possible lead in this game with 2 outs left in the inning, those being the 1st and 6th inning. Mat Latos had only given up 1 earned run in his stint, better than expected for 6 innings pitched, finished with a 1.50 ERA for the day. Jaime García had himself a day, striking out 10 batters but give up 3 runs in 6 2/3 IP.  Here are the results of today’s action.

Prediction:

Mat Latos: 5 1/3 IP, 9 hits, 2 doubles, home run, 6 runs, 3 walks and 4 strikeouts

Result:

Jaime García: 6 2/3 IP (5%),  6 hits (Perfect), double (Perfect) 3 runs (Perfect), 3 walks (-50%), 10 strikeouts (100%) and 1 home run

Mat Latos: 6 IP (12.5%), 4 hits (55.55%), double (Perfect) 4 runs (33.33%), 1 walk (66.67%) and 5 strikeouts (20%)

Latos had a good day, except for Choo’s errors. If the errors didn’t exist, the Reds would of had a 2-1 lead when Latos left the game.
