Game 4 (Cincinnati-Washington) recap, “Score City”

Title says it all, the Cincinnati Reds beat the Washington Nationals 15-0. Washington came in undefeated against the Reds and it was over when Dan Haren took the mound. Washington finished a series with the Miami Marlins, who aren’t as compatible with the toughness like the Reds.

Like mentioned in previous post, one pitcher was on decline and the other was on the rise. Was I correct? Yes. Dan Haren took a beating and Homer Bailey looked like the pitcher from September form.

Homer Bailey: 6 2/3 IP, 4 hits, double, home run, 3 runs, 3 walks, and 7 strikeouts

Dan Haren: 6 2/3 IP, 6 hits, double, triple, home run, 3 runs, 1 walk, and 5 strikeouts

Homer Bailey: 6 IP (-10%), 2 hits (50%), 3 walks (Perfect), 6 strikeouts (-14.29%)

Dan Haren: 4 IP (-40%), 9 hits (-50%), 6 runs (-100%), 5 strikeouts (Perfect), 4 home runs

Next game: Ross Detwiler vs Mike Leake, 1:05 PM at Great American Ballpark, Saturday, April 6, 2013
