It’s Over, only one team survived on the road and the home teams (except Washington) will be heading into Round 2. Only 1 Game disappointed me and the other 3 didn’t surprise me. I went 2-2 in the wild card round and went over (+10) in wild card picks.
First game, Cincinnati at Houston. Houston only won because both sides of the ball finally decided to play for Houston. Cincinnati on the other, the defense showed up, but the offense didn’t. I went under (-7) in this game and could of went even if Dalton TD pass to Green was caught. The streak of not winning a playoff game will continue and Houston will march into New England with “Redemption” of their Monday Night Embarrassment.
Second game, Minnesota at Green Bay, not surprising and went Over (+8) in this matchup. Ponder was put on the injury report 90 minutes before the game and Joe Webb took his first season’s snap and it didn’t help the vikings at all. Green Bay will head to San Francisco to avenge their Opening Day loss against San Francisco.
Third Game, Indianapolis at Baltimore, Ray Lewis’ last home game as a Baltimore Raven. This game came in with lots of emotion and Baltimore defeated Indy with ease, I went Over (+1) in this matchup. Baltimore will head to Denver next week and hope to extend Lewis’ career.
And for the fourth game, Seattle at Washington, I had a hard picked for this game and choose Washington at the end. In the end, it failed. Seattle was down by 14 at the start of the second quarter and went on to score 24 unanswered points to beat the Redskins. Robert Griffin III injured his knee and he can rest it till next season as Seattle will move on and play Atlanta. I went Over (+11) in this matchup.
For now, here are some post-game that Marvin Lewis should have done after losing on Saturday.
